BSO MAY PLEASE EXCUSE : A MATRIMONIAL ADS EPISODE: THE FITTEST REPLY
Many BSO dailies write in matrimonial columns – backward SC/ST/OBC may please excuse on demand of their clients. This is utter insult to Bahujans. But, a brave, Ambedkar-Shahu-Phule philosophy-prone person (groom)Prashant Aher has made a dent to BSO news-media.
This youth has given his own pragmatic matrimonial advertisement for seeking bride, in BSO newspaper mentioning, "Brahmins may please excuse". This is indeed a big blow to Brahmins that by this way, he side-lined Brahmins from expected list of bride seekers.
There are many matrimonial ads like 'Reshimgaath', 'Jeevan Saathi' in many BSO dailies. Readers are also in abundance to read the matrimonial column and to cater their need of life. "SC/ST/OBC may please excuse" is also commonly written by UCs for many years. With this UCs have been indirectly practicing casteism in reality by way of such kind of insulting matrimonial advertisements. With such advertisements, we can know their inner hatred mentality.
UCs reacted sharply after reading the advertisement. Many UCs rang up to the editor and expressed their anger. They told the editor to take back the advertisement. As such the editor requested Prashant Aher to take back. But Prashant Aher didn't budge. He told the editor that he had already paid amount for the advertisement of his choice, just like UCs do commonly for many years i.e. "Caste no bar, but SC/ST/OBC may please excuse"
Prashant Aher was felicitated for his innovative act to make BSO angry. Yes! Making BSO angry is the key of success and path of progress. Our silliest and smallest act, which can make BSO angry, is always a matter of mighty blow on BSO, and matter of our happiness as it appears that we are retaliating BSO by our such acts. When BSO/UCs degrade us by giving advertisement - "Caste no bar, but SC/ST/OBC may please excuse". By their act, nobody BSO/UC reacts against their men. It is our matter that we ought to react. Though we react, BSO print media - newspapers will not publish our reactions. And as such, our voices are made voiceless in BSO newspapers. But, when the situation is opposite i.e. the case of Prashant Aher, then BSO news media will omit their fire like anything. So is BSO inner mind.
