যারা গভীর রাতে শতপুরুষের ভিটায় শেষের প্রনাম জানিয়ে এক অজানা অচেনা দেশের উদ্দ্যেশ্যে পাড়ি জমিয়েছিলেন ,জীবনের সুরক্ষার জন্য । সেই সুরক্ষিত ভারতে তারা উদ্বাস্তুর নুন্নতম অধিকারটুকু হারিয়েছে।এখন তাদের বলা হয় ঘুষপেটিয়া। সেই অমানবিক নাগরিকত্ব আইনের প্যাঁচকলে আসামের ডিটেনশন ক্যাম্পে চার বৎসবের নিস্পাপ শিশু নারকীয় যন্ত্রনা ভোগকরছে।এরকম অসংখ্য উদ্বাস্তুদের ঠিকানা আসামের ডিটেনশন ক্যাম্প।তারা যানেনা,কোনদিন মুক্তি পাবে কিনা। ?

বিশ্বের যেখানা মানবতা লঙ্ঘিত হলে,বাঙলার মানব দরদী লেখক গবেষক সমাজ কর্মীরা জেগে ওঠেন।তাদের কলম দিয়ে প্রতিবাদের ফুলকি ঝরে।কিন্তু আসামের নিস্পাপ দুধের শিশু কল্পনা বিশ্বাসকে নিয়ে তাদের কোন প্রতিকৃয়া নেই।সমস্ত লেখনি উদ্বাস্তুদের জন্য নিরব। মানবতা এখানে বধির।

যারা ওপারে রয়েগেছেন,তাদের অবস্থা কসাই ঘরের অবোলা জীব জন্তুর মতো।কবে,কে, কখন শুলিতে চড়বে কেউ জানেনা। প্রতি মুহুর্ত মৃত্য তাদের চোখের সামনে আনাগোনা করে।সম্প্রতি নিরিহ সংখ্যালঘুরা মানবতা বিরোধী অপশক্তির হাতে নির্মম ভাবে হত্যা হচ্ছেন। মা বোনদের সম্ভ্রম নিয়ে ঘৃন্ন খেলায় মেতেউঠেছেন সন্ত্রাসিরা।

কোথায় গেলো ৭১ হিন্দু মুসলিম ভাই ভাই....ভাষা আন্দোলনের মধুর স্মৃতি । সবই কালের অবর্তমানে অতীত ইতিহাস।

উদ্বাস্তু লেখক বুদ্ধিজীবিরা মানবতা বাদ ও দলিত আন্দোলনের পক্ষে অনেক প্রসংশনীয় ভুমিকা রাখেন।আত্মজদের পাশে আমরা তাদের উপস্থিতি তেমন দেখতে পাচ্ছিনা। 

আমরা যদি অন্যায়ের প্রতিবাদ না করি,বাংলাদেশের প্রগতিশীল মানুষের পাশে না দাঁড়াই, নিকট ভবিষ্্যতে আবার উদ্বাস্তুর ঢল নামবে।

 পশ্চিম বাঙার আস্তাকুড়ে নর্দমার পাশে, তাদের হবে শেষ ঠিকানা।
