Dear Friends,

There will be a work session tomorrow (Monday, Sept 6th) from 2-7 PM at the Solidarity Center to work on signs and banners for the Sept.11th rally. We need as many people as possible to come in to help. Bring your friends and family. Address : 55 West 17th St (between 5th & 6th Avenue), 5th Floor 212-633-6646 (take any subway to 14th street)

We have been getting out thousands of cards and leaflets. We have also been putting up stickers in the subways and on the streets in many communities.

Many people signed up for campus outreach. The schools listed were Hunter (5 people), Cooper Union(1), Columbia (2- will cover orientation), Fordham (Lincoln Center (1), NYU law (1), NYU (2), Lehman (1) , Queens, (1), Sarah Lawrence (1), Bank Street (1). John Jay (1), New School (1). The schools are only open Tuesday and Wednesday so if you can get to a campus, that would be helpful.

The Caribbean Day Festival on Monday is also a good place to leaflet. If anyone wants to do that before coming in to the work session, there are other people who will distributing there. Just standing near a subway entrance is a good place to leaflet.

Some of us went out on the subways on friday and saturday. We a gave a rap and got a tremendous response. People thanked us, people clapped for us, people took cards to get out to their friends, and people even gave us some money. I wasn't sure how it would go and each time I was a little nervous when we started. But it really seemed that people were relieved that we were out there. So you might want to try this if you feel comfortable doing it.

If you are not able to come in tomorrow for the work session, there will definitely be a work session starting at 10AM on Friday morning and going through the rest of the day and late in the evening. But please come tomorrow if it's possible.

There is also the Wednesday mobilization meeting is at 6:30 at the Solidarity Center. Before the meeting at 4:30 PM there will be another work session.

If you have questions or concerns about all the times and dates, you can call my cell phone. 415-845-6100
