Nandita das is not only the iconic beautiful actor for her sustained performance, she is known as the vocal protagonist of the fight against fairness multinational gender bias and patriarchal hegemony. She is not though as famous as Arundhuti Ray for her activism and social concern, but we all recognize her concerns for the suffering toiling masses in India.

We all know about the specific allergy whenever Arundhati writes about social realism and the burning questions that we face day today.

Arundhuti is attacked again and again.

Nandita is spared,we used to think. But here you are Nandita is not spared at all.She is being misquoted for character assassination, which must be condemned.

Web reports say that actor and social activist Nandita Das had a tough time today clarifying a quote which claims she never made. The ever active twitteratti went hammer and tongs slamming the actor for allegedly saying "All men are potential rapists."

This alleged quote went viral within no time and the hashtag '#NanditaDasQuotes' started trending on micro-blogging site Twitter. An array of sarcastic tweets made quite a furore under this hashtag.

The dusky actress then took to Twitter to clarify her stand and said that she was being misquoted. She tweeted:I'm being falsely quoted Never said all men are rapists. What kind of a stupid generalisation is that? sad that 1 have to even explain this.
