Subject: [bangla-vision] Syed Ali Geelani decries Pak indifference to Kashmir

LAHORE – The younger generation of Held Kashmir has tilt neither towards Pakistan nor India and considers that their independence will not harm Pakistan in any way. They do not want to remain under Indian slavery either, said Kashmiri leader Syed Ali Geelani while talking to Nawa-i-Waqt on Saturday.

Geelani said they were determined to stand against the cruelty and barbarism of the Indian forces and they would fight till their last breath. They won't accept any solution to the Kashmir dispute within the Indian Constitution, he said, adding the Kashmiris should be given opportunity to exercise their right to self-determination.
He said India was fully aware of the fact that the Kashmiris would never remain silent over their right of getting independence, while as a last resort to the crush their movement the Indian forces had started genocide of the Kashmiris.

Commenting upon Shah Mehmood Qureshi's recent statements, Geelani said instead of upholding historical viewpoint over Kashmir, the indifference and flexibility of Pakistan had caused an irreparable loss to their movement of independence, and India had earned more relief in such circumstances.

If the head of the state opines that there was no threat from India, what message it will convey to the Kashmiri people. Perhaps only the Kashmiris can imagine it, said the veteran Kashmiri leader.
Terming the internal situation of Kashmir critical, Geelani said the kids in Kashmir prefer independence to milk, and hence one could imagine how serious the movement of independence had become in Occupied Kashmir.
