TERRITORIAL ARMY TRANS INDIA CYCLE EXPEDITION

Kolkata: Friday, October 09, 2010.

 

The Territorial Army Flags off Trans India Cycle Expedition today to commemorate its 61st Anniversary. The Territorial Army Battalions of the Eastern Sector are out on a mission to spread awareness about Territorial Army. The expedition will also educate citizens on social issues, promote national integration, security consciousness and motivate the youth to join Territorial Army and serve the nation with honor and pride.

 

This expedition will showcase the spirit of men in uniform in all parts of the Eastern Sector. It will inculcate and develop a flair for outdoor life and evoke ecological awareness. They will learn about the living conditions of local populace, develop love for nature, and get a feel and idea of vastness and diversity of our culture. En route medical camps are being organized for the poor and needy people to educate them on various social issues. This cycle expedition will go a long way in knitting a bond between the civilians and the men in uniform.
