NON-MULTIPLEX CINEMA CONTACT US END OF YEAR REVIEW info@nonmultiplexcinema.com
2009 is about to end. We kick off 2010 early with a great film club event on the 5th of January. Also below, is a round up of our year, our best ever!
NEXT FILM CLUB EVENT - MACHAN + Q&A
TUESDAY 5TH JANUARY FROM 7PM FILM AT 8.30
We're delighted to be the starting year with this great film from Sri Lanka. Directed by Uberto Pasolini, the Producer of The Full Monty, this film has had great reviews and, best of all, there'll be a Q&A with the director afterwards. We've organised discount tickets of £7. Email filmclub@nonmultiplexcinema.com to get on the guest list. If you haven't been before, the film club is a great opportunity to watch a good film and meet new people!CHRISTMAS EVENT - ENDING THE YEAR IN STYLE
Our Christmas event took place on Tuesday 15th December and was our best ever! Almost 100 people came along to the plush Deloitte Auditorium in Central London for an evening of short films and networking. We were also all entertained by the great comedy act Padraig Hyland and Luisa Omielan. Our next event has now been announced - it will take place on Friday 12th February. The full details will be revealed next month but you can submit your short film to us for possible inclusion by sending a DVD to the address below. We are constantly surprised by the quality of films we get sent and look forward to receiving more. Big thanks to you all and to the many hundreds who came to our events this year!!
CHARITY EVENTS TO CONTINUE IN 2010
This year we have forged links with several charities and used our events to raise money. We're pleased to announce that these partnerships will continue next year. We raised well over £1,000 this year and look forward to beating that in 2010!
CAPTIVE - AWARD WINNING SHORT FILM
Captive was the short film produced by Non-Multiplex Cinema and had a great 2009! Best of all was winning the Audience Prize at the Portobello Film Festival in October. A close second was a competition screening at the prestigious European Independent Film Festival. There was also a lot of other festival screenings quite literally around the world. So congratulations to director Gus Alvarez, writer Paul Nash and producer Niall Urquhart and the rest of the team. There'll be more festival screenings next year. We'll keep you informed! If you can't wait, see the trailer here!
MEMOIRS OF AN ALIEN - COMING SOON!
The next Non-Multiplex Cinema Production will be the hotly anticipated Memoirs Of An Alien. This has now finished shooting and is in post production. This has been a true Non-Multiplex Cinema production, a collaboration with many of our contacts. We would like to thank everyone involved and can't wait to finish the film and unleash it!
MOSAIC NETWORKING - NEXT EVENT ANNOUNCED
The next Mosaic event will take place on Thursday 14th January at the ICA from 6pm as part of the London Short Film Festival. For more details or to book your place, please email mosaic@mosaicnetworking.com.
