The Tamilnadu Untouchability Eradication front led by its state convenor P.sampath along with S.K.Mahendran,Latha and Dillybabu all MLAs met the vice charman of National Commission for SC at the Secretariat of Govt.of Tamiladu and impressed the Commission about the prevelence of untouchability in Tamiladu.Sri P.sampath submitted a memorandum to the Commission urging to take action on the following issues
1.Atrocities by then Superintendent of Police(Now promoted as DIG of Police)Sri Amalraj of Viluppuram District for organizing the dalits to enter into the temple
2..Denial of Bus Stop to Dalits in Uthapuram Village of Peraiyur Taluk of Madurai District by the District Administration
3..Denial of right to worship in the Arasamaram Temple to Dalits in Uthapuram Village of Peraiyur Taluk of Madurai District by the District Administration
4. THE EMPLOYMENT OF MANUAL SCAVENGERS AND CONSTRUCTION OF DRY LATRINES (PROHIBITION) ACT, 1993 not implemented in Tamilnadu
5.Implementation of sub reservation for Arunthathiar in the matter of employment from the date coming into force of the Act
6. Prevalence of untouchability in engaging scavengers in local bodies in Tamilnadu
7. Better implementation of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Rules, 1995 in Tamilnadu
8. Filing FIR and Conducting cases in Courts on atrocities on dalits by police officials In Tamilnadu
9. Provision of cremation/burial grounds for dalit people in Balasamudram Village of PalaniTaluk in Dindigul District of Tamilnadu
10. Enhancement of Dalit Quota for reservation from 18% to 19 % in Tamilnadu
